Thyroid Disease
Whether you are hypothyroid (slow) or hyperthyroid (fast), you will suffer from fatigue.
That said, hypothyroidism tends to make you feel tired, lazy, and even depressed, while hyperthyroidism tends to make people anxious, restless, irritable, and then contribute to fatigue from lack of sleep.
If you feel tired even though you have a burst of energy, ask your doctor to test your thyroid levels to be on the safe side.
Diabetes
Fatigue is one of the first major indications of diabetes. Although most people think that diabetes only affects people who are overweight, many people who seem healthy still end up with type II diabetes.
If you already know that you have diabetes from birth and are often tired, talk to your doctor. Today, even older people are diagnosed with type I diabetes, so the old rules no longer match.
You may feel tired whether your blood sugar is high or low; if it is off, you will feel the effects. That’s why it’s so important to talk to your doctor about trying to manage your condition with medication, diet, exercise, and regular sleep.
