A « completely irresponsible » use

“I don’t play with disrespect for God or any religion, and so the use of the song in our project was completely irresponsible. In the future, we will make sure that this never happens again. Thank you for your forgiveness and your understanding ”, concluded the interpreter of“ Diamonds ”.

French DJ coucou chloe, behind the remix, also apologized on social media. “The song was created using samples found online. At the time, I didn’t know they were using the text of an Islamic hadith, ”she argued, taking on“ responsibility ”for not having researched what those words meant before using them in. his piece. It also states that the music has been removed from “all streaming platforms”.

Inappropriate pictures

This isn’t the first time Rihanna’s been accused of insensitivity towards Islam.
In 2013, she was asked to leave a mosque in Abu Dhabi after posing for « inappropriate pictures ».
