For everyone else, The Sims Mobile is a relaxing and fun mobile game where you can spend some time without worrying too much about needing FPS reflexes. The game is free to play, but bear in mind that there are a number of micro transactions available on the in-game store.
Brawlhalla
According to its description, Brawlhalla is a « platform fighting game, » which isn’t a description at all, if we’re being honest. What is, as far as we’re concerned, the Smash Bros. Very strong. Select a character and face up to seven other characters in which the player controls a 2D brawl where the goal is to be the last to be kicked out of the scene. It’s super fun, and it’s not as scary as it seems at first.
F1 Manager
The Formula 1 World Championship is one of the biggest racing federations, and although you may not get a chance to get behind the wheel of one of these powerful machines, F1 Manager gives you the opportunity to manage your own team. Create a stopping strategy, decide if you want to do it all or if you want to take the lead on the last lap, recruit and upgrade real F1 drivers. It looks great and plays perfectly – but bear in mind that it has items to sell, so close your account if you cede control to a child.

Our British and Irish history is a little mysterious, but we don’t remember much about tennis. Regardless of historical accuracy, fantasy tennis has turned out to be a lot of fun, and that means QuestBall is thriving. Play up to eight characters (including Boudica) with their unique strengths and weaknesses, and a variety of special strengths and moves to harness in your battles with Kings, Outlaws, Giants and Gods. A little fun is a waste of time.

If you’re looking to relax a little, settle down with Vía’s collection of maze puzzles. Moving from A to B might sound like a simple premise, but there are obstacles that will get in your way, forcing you to think carefully about the choices you make while playing. It’s hard enough to be a motivator, but not too hard to put yourself off – and it’s also an addiction. The first 30 tracks are free, but you will need to purchase the full game to access all 10 tracks. However, it is worth your dollar.
War Tortoise 2
War Tortoise 2 is kind of challenging. Sounds like an idle shooter, but that’s not entirely true. Loaded with your war turtle, you can eliminate bad guys that approach in their path, earn money and buy followers as you defeat them. A miniature army, you walk slowly to the next area, fending off attacks as you advance. Easy to control – just slide your finger to move your sights, and the pilot will fire automatically. Upgrade your turtle’s weapons and armor, add to your army and upgrade their abilities, and keep moving forward. There are also some nice graphic touches, like the droplets hitting the screen in the rain. A little fun is a waste of time.
If Found… ($5)
Another game for those who like stories to make them really feel things, if any … is centered around the diary of the protagonist Casio. It tells the story of her return to the west of Ireland, her struggle with her friends and family and the challenges she faces – but all of it leads to a fateful night, where a black hole is about to destroy the world. Can Casio stop a black hole from wiping out everything dear to it? Stunning hand-drawn artwork and truly touching stories make this game a great way to spend a quiet evening.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
Animal Crossing has set fire to the Internet, but you don’t need to have a Nintendo Switch to start the magic. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a great way to get the Animal Crossing Patch out of your pocket. Create your own small camping site, and design it the way you want it by gathering items from daily business and annual events. Want to create a great theme park, music festival, or glamping site? You can, and you can, do so in the best possible environment. As a mobile game, there are a lot of micro-transactions available so it’s not the best game for those who struggle not to overspend. But if that’s not an issue, it’s a great way to spend some time.
Angry Birds 2
If you don’t know what Angry Birds is, well then this is one of the most legendary mobile franchises out there. The sequel to the hit movie that spawned, of all things Angry Birds 2, takes you back to the war between birds and biting pigs – a war that can only be won by throwing angry birds at pigs. Hey, we said they were « angry » and not « smart. » However, there were some changes to the original formula, and you can now choose which bird to use, take gradient levels, and impress the mighty eagle to earn coins to spend in their store. While that may sound like a lot, trust us when we say this is one of the best casual gaming experiences out there.
Disney Sorceror’s Arena
The role-based fighter has seen a major boom in recent years, and Disney is the latest to have created its own version of card collecting. Thankfully, that’s pretty good. If you’ve played any of these games before, you know what to expect: Collect cards to unlock new Disney characters and use them to fight via a series of AI or human opponents to unlock more. . The battles take place in a turn-based environment, and a large part of the strategy is choosing when to use each character’s special abilities. It’s mandatory, but know that there are a lot of microscopic transactions.
Homicide Squad: New York Cases
Hidden object games are guilty pleasure for many, and they shouldn’t be, because they’re actually so much fun. In this game, you can control a pair of wily detectives while solving crimes and achieving justice in New York. Examine murder scenes, find and collect your evidence. You have limited power to play and have to pay to recharge it – making it a casual game for everyone except for those with deep pockets. However, it is a fun hidden object game if you like it, and well worth a try if you are new to the genre.
